Fall shows!

The colorful leaves and cooler weather are here as we move from playing outdoor stages to gigs and concerts inside. Fall is perfect for gigging and the shorter days are great for hunkering down and working on new music. I’ve been working on new songs and plan to have new music ready to release in the New Year!

I’ve got a variety of shows coming up in Canada and Washington. I’m returning to Skylarks in Fairhaven, Bellingham for a scaled down dinner show. I’m delighted to return to the Unbound Blues Jam as their featured guest on Nov. 6th at the Madison Avenue Pub in Everett, WA. Their jam has won numerous blues awards. The Blues women are back by popular demand on Nov. 10th 3-7pm at the Anavets Club in Maple Ridge, BC.

One of my favorite musical things to do is to play my original songs for a live audience. I’m delighted to return as the featured guest with Stacy Jones at her Songwriter night on June 13th at the Madison Avenue Pub in Everett from 7pm-9pm. It’s always a lot of fun trading songs and telling stories especially with our twin danelectro guitars.

Skylarks Beer Garden in Bellingham

The best part of the summer season is playing shows outdoors. I had a blast with bassist Shakti Hayes at our recent show at Skylarks Beer Garden with Andy “Badd Dog” Koch. I’ll be returning to Skylarks along with Shakti on bass for a show of my own material later in the summer.

Midsummer Blues Fest
I am delighted to be playing a blues show at the Midsummer Blues Fest at Silverton Station in Stanwood on Saturday June 22nd! The festival starts at 1pm with an acoustic jam session and the Jill Newman band plays from 2pm-3:30pm. Other festival acts include Nick Vigarino’s meantown blues and the Andy Koch band featuring Chester Dennis on guitar. It’s a beautiful farm setting, kid friendly with food and camping. There is an indoor venue on site in the event of rain. Please RSVP for free tix at www.silvertonstation.net.

Getting back into the studio!

It’s been a while since I produced my last recording, Lovestruck Blues and I’m thrilled to be heading back to the studio. I’ve been busy writing songs and working on pre-production. I will be recording at Studio Litho in Seattle in early 2025 with Floyd Reitsma engineering. Stay tuned!

Happy New Year!

I had a blast with my trio as the featured act for the WA Blues Society December Blues Bash to wrap up an eventful 2023. I’ve been busily writing songs for a new EP that will be coming out in 2024. It fits that my first gig of the new year will be as the featured guest at Stacy Jones’ songwriter night at the Madison Ave Pub in Everett January 11th @ 7pm. Stay tuned for more news.
