White Rock Jazz & Blues Festival plus upcoming shows!

The White Rock Jazz & Blues Festival was a success! The skies cleared just in time for our outdoor shows at Five Corners and Laura’s Coffee Corner. We had a blast playing and it was great to see such a range of ages from young kids dancing along to the music to local seniors. Some of my former sailing co-op buddies came out to cheer us on. We were treated well, and it was great to connect with the Festival Programmer, Casey Thomas Burns, a very busy  bandleader (the Leading Ladies Jazz Band) and performer.

I’ll be heading back to Seattle June 27th for the open house at the Salmon Bay Eagles in Ballard and I’m thrilled to have such a great band with Patrick McDanel, bass and Marty Vadalabene, drummer and former touring artist, with Doug Kershaw among others. We’ll be playing together again at the Apex in Everett on August 17th.

My Bellingham shows this summer include several great family friendly and dog friendly breweries, Stones Throw (July 25th 5pm) as a duo and Skylark’s Beer Garden (July 31st) with the band. I’m also joining my friend and bassist Shakti Hayes and guitarist Beaver Thomas for a semi-private event on Lummi Island on July 5th. Later in the summer, I’ll be the featured band at the Semiahmoo Shindig at the Semiahmoo Marina Aug 21st. It’s a beautiful setting watching the sunset and looking at all the boats, dancing to the tunes and ordering food from the That’s What I Like, Food Truck.

Hope some folks can come check out our shows and support live music. It’s looking to be a busy and fun filled summer!
